Day 9 - Italy to France
We left Bergamo on time (ish) and headed for Metz via Switzerland. We passed through the San Bernardino Pass with its beautiful views and stunning scenery, everyone was very impressed.
Team Honda took an alternative route experiencing the joys of the Spluga Pass, which Jonathon said was better than the Stelvio Pass.
We then stopped at Heidiland for lunch. Heidiland could teach the services in the UK a thing or two about serving food. There was a choice for every palate, all served fresh.
After lunch, the convoy split up and we went our separate ways. Once again, Laura decided to abandon Team BEN to join Team AA and experience some off-roading! A decision she came to regret when a water fight broke out and her team mate wasn’t there for back up, she lost heavily!
Team AA and Team Mini arrived at the hotel to the sound of “We are the Champions” being played, with the slowest vehicles being the first to arrive at the hotel.
Once everyone had arrived at the hotel, we all sat down to enjoy our last meal before heading home.
